Peru 2012 – Paracas
For new years, my parents rented a beautiful house in one of my favorite places, Paracas. I have been coming here since I was born… this place is a Wildlife Natural Reserve and one of the best kept secrets for kite surf lovers, wake boarders, and boaters . Here you can see all kinds of marine life including my favorite “The Flamingo” and thousands of curious sea lions if you decide to go for a surf in the San Gallan Islands (my favorite right waves in Peru). Paracas is about enjoying…. sitting back, savoring the fresh seafood, the view. In the evenings, it’s tradition to take a stroll into one of the hottest hotels in Peru, Hotel Libertador for a couple of classic Pisco Sours.
…. enjoy!
This is a picture taken right infront of my house. Color Perfection.
My dad rented a boat for the day so we could go and surf one of my favorite surf spots, San Gallan. On your way there, you come across one of the coolest looking pre-Incan mysteries, El Candelabro.
The “Ballestas Islands“, is a group of islands that are famous for being and important sanctuary for marine fauna. It has become pretty famous for birdwatching and also because of the THOUSANDS of sea lions resting and playing around in these deserted islands.
It’s amazing how well they can camouflage on the rocks!

Enjoying some beers with high school friends in my new blow up jacuzzi… classy.
The classic “Paracas Style” houses (view from inside).
Birdwatching on the bay… Flamingos!
My favorite hotel in Peru. Hotel El Libertador. If you want to experience glam and beauty in Paracas, you better check this place out.
